2. Operation Steps
Step 1: Upload Your PDF File
Click the Select File button and pick the target PDF from your local device.After uploading, the tool will automatically show the file name, size and total page number.If your PDF is locked with an opening password, you will be prompted to decrypt it first. Just use our PDF password removal tool to unlock it before proceeding.
Step 2: Select Watermark Type
Two watermark styles are available for your choice:Text Watermark: Edit custom content freely, and adjust font color, size, opacity and rotation angle.Image Watermark: Upload PNG or JPG images and change opacity as you like. The image will automatically scale to fit the watermark box without manual cropping.
Step 3: Adjust Watermark Position and Size
A semi-transparent blue dashed box will appear in the preview area, which marks the display range of the watermark.Drag the box to move it anywhere on the page;Pull the four corners to enlarge or shrink the watermark freely. The preview will update in real time so you can check the effect instantly.
Step 4: Set Custom Watermark Parameters (Optional)
Opacity: Adjustable from 0 to 1. 0 means fully transparent while 1 is fully opaque. 0.3 to 0.5 is recommended for a natural look.Rotation Angle: Text watermarks can be rotated between -90° and 90°, while image rotation is not supported for now.Application Range: Apply the watermark to all pages or only the first page as you need.
Step 5: Generate and Download the File
Once all settings are done, click Generate Watermark PDF and wait a moment.The process only takes a few seconds. After completion, click the download button to save the watermarked PDF to your device.

4. Notes
- Encrypted PDF with an opening password cannot be processed directly. Please unlock it with a decryption tool first.
- PNG images with transparent background are recommended for better visual effect; JPG is also compatible. Large images will auto-fit the box without extra editing.
- Do not make the watermark box too small to avoid text cropping, nor too large to block the original content.
- Rotation is only available for text watermarks now. The image rotation function will be updated in later versions.
- If your PDF is over 50MB or has a large number of pages, the generation process may take a little longer, please wait patiently.

Q1: Can I add text and image watermarks at the same time?A: Only one type is supported in a single operation. If you need overlay effects, generate a PDF with an image watermark first, then import it again to add a text watermark.
Q2: Can I adjust the watermark position with pixel-level precision?A: You can drag and fine-tune the position smoothly. The visual accuracy is fully enough for daily office use.
Q3: Is the added watermark easy to remove?A: The watermark is embedded into the original PDF content. It’s hard to remove in regular office scenarios and works well for copyright and confidential protection. Though professional editing software can remove it forcibly, it won’t affect daily anti-theft use.
Q4: Does it support batch watermarking for multiple PDFs?A: The current version only supports single file processing. For batch needs, merge all PDFs into one first, add the watermark uniformly, then split it back into separate files.
Q5: Will adding a watermark reduce PDF clarity?A: No. The tool uses lossless synthesis technology. It only overlays the watermark while keeping the original text and image clarity completely without quality compression.
